Lockd Won't Activate?

Here's a step-by-step fix

Please check that a "Ready to Scan" message appears when you tap the Lockd button in the app.

If it doesn't appear, the app may not be syncing properly. Try the steps below, tapping the Lockd button after each one:

  1. Close the Lockd app completely and reopen it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Ensure the Lockd app is updated to the latest version

iPhone:

Make sure your phone's NFC detection is enabled

Tap gently against the correct area (top/back of phone) at a 45-degree angle

Android:

Make sure NFC is turned on in your phone's settings.

Just search "NFC" in Settings and toggle it on if it's off.

Every Android model places the NFC reader in a slightly different spot. Here's where it's usually located:

•Samsung Galaxy (S / Note / Z series): top-center on the back, near the cameras

•Google Pixel: top-back area

•OnePlus: center-back, slightly above the fingerprint

•Sony Xperia: middle-back

If scanning is tricky, Google "‹your phone model> NFC location" — it will show you the exact location of your device's NFC reader.

If it still won’t scan, let’s do a quick check using a free app called NFC Tools (available on both the App Store and Google Play).
Install it, open the app, tap “Read”, and try scanning your Lockd Pod.

When you’re done, please email us at team@trylockd.comwith the answers to these questions:

Did NFC Tools successfully read your Lockd Pod?

iPhone: Under Writable, do you see “Record 1 – Text”?

Android: At the bottom, do you see “Record 1 – UTF-8 ()”?
