A Few Things to Know First:
1. NFC scanning on Android varies by phone
Every Android model places the NFC reader in a slightly different spot. Here’s where it’s usually located:
-
Samsung Galaxy (S / Note / Z series): top-center on the back, near the cameras
-
Google Pixel: top-back area
-
OnePlus: center-back, slightly above the fingerprint scanner
-
Sony Xperia: middle-back
If scanning is tricky, Google “<your phone model> NFC location” — it will show you the exact location of your device’s NFC reader.
2. Android requires a screen lock during setup
You’ll need a temporary phone password to enable Digital Wellbeing permissions.
Good news: You can remove the password after your first Lockd session.
