Why is there a 50 app limit?
Apple’s App Picker tool currently allows selection of up to 50 apps. We are currently working on expanding this functionality so you’ll be able to block more apps in the near future.
What are Emergency Unlocks?
You start with 3 Emergency Unlocks, allowing you to exit lockd mode without the Pod. You can purchase more if needed, but we encourage using them only when absolutely necessary.
How do I make Lockd stricter?
- Strict Mode: Turning on Strict Mode prevents you from uninstalling the Lockd app, so you can’t bypass your locked sessions.
- Screen Time Access Block: Use a shortcut to block access to Settings. Use this guide.

Having issues using the App Picker?
Unfortunately, some limitations are due to the way Apple’s App Picker is designed. We’re actively working on improvements with Apple. In the meantime, try:
- Open one app category at a time
- Paste app names into the search bar
- Close categories after selecting apps
- Avoid clicking “Other”
- Force quit Lockd and restart your phone

To scan your Lockd Pod properly, first tap the Lockd Button on the app’s main screen.
When you see “Ready to Scan,” tap your Lockd Pod.
